What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appliance Technician Trainee position at Anchor Appliance Repair?
Anchor Appliance Repair is a locally owned, Veteran-Owned appliance repair company serving Rockwall and the surrounding areas. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn a skilled trade.
No appliance repair experience is required. We are willing to train the right person from the ground up. If you’re dependable, enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and helping customers, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Train alongside an experienced appliance repair technician
- Learn to diagnose and repair residential appliances
- Provide professional customer service in customers’ homes
- Learn to use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals
- Keep tools and work areas organized
- Build the skills needed to become an independent service technician
Requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Dependable and punctual
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps
- Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred (Not Required)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience using hand tools
- Background in automotive, construction, maintenance, HVAC, or other hands-on work
