About The Position
As an Audit Senior in the Financial Services group here at Anchin, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for our clients in the financial services industry. You will be responsible for leading and managing audit engagements, conducting thorough examinations of financial statements, and providing valuable insights to clients. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific nuances within the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
- Perform audit and compilation for a financial services client base.
- Prepare work papers and simple financial statements using computer software.
- Prepare client financial statements including all footnote disclosures and supplemental schedules.
- Prepare and recalculate book capital allocation models in accordance with partnership agreements.
- Prepare various tax adjustments, in preparation of client's K-1's and tax returns.
- Perform valuation testing.
- Communicate and maintain relationships with client's team.
- Performs other accounting, auditing and tax duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- Keep in-charges updated about the status of the engagement.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 2 years of experience in external auditing, with a focus on financial services clients.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Familiarity with financial services industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid computer proficiency, including Excel skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $85,000 to $118,000 based on the individual’s experience level.
