Job Title: Med/Surg Flexible Night/Day Shift (ACU) Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified nurse to join our dynamic team in the Med/Surg department, working flexible night/day shifts in the Acute Care Unit (ACU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be able to adapt to changing patient needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide holistic nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg unit
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
