Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for providing immediate care to patients in the emergency room setting. They must assess patients, administer medication, perform necessary medical procedures, and provide emotional support to patients and their families during times of crisis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and triaging patients upon arrival to the emergency room
- Administering medication and treatment as directed by the attending physician
- Performing medical procedures such as starting IVs, drawing blood, and assisting with intubation
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the medical team
- Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
