We are looking for a Technical Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of a complex, cloud-native data platform. This role combines hands-on technical depth with delivery ownership - spanning framework design, orchestration, BI semantic models, governance, and stakeholder coordination. The Technical Lead serves as the primary bridge between architecture decisions and engineering execution, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery across all workstreams.

We are looking for a Technical Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of a complex, cloud-native data platform. This role combines hands-on technical depth with delivery ownership - spanning framework design, orchestration, BI semantic models, governance, and stakeholder coordination. The Technical Lead serves as the primary bridge between architecture decisions and engineering execution, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery across all workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own overall technical delivery across all platform workstreams, from ingestion framework design through production deployment
- Lead the design and implementation of metadata-driven, configuration-based frameworks that eliminate the need for code changes when onboarding new data domains or rule sets
- Define and implement orchestration patterns for automated evaluation workflows, including SLA management and breach detection logic
- Build and maintain the control framework metadata layer including schema design, seed data management, and config-driven rule activation
- Oversee semantic model development and guide Power BI engineers in implementing multi-domain KPIs and DAX calculations
- Coordinate production deployments via CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps release gates, including rollback planning
- Lead scoping, planning, and stakeholder alignment sessions - presenting findings, confirming timelines, and freezing scope
- Author and publish operational runbooks covering platform administration, threshold management, and onboarding procedures
- Drive cross-team collaboration across architecture, engineering, DevOps, BI, QA, and compliance workstreams
- 9 years of experience across data engineering and cloud platform delivery, including 3 years in a technical lead capacity
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure SQL
- Experience designing config-driven or metadata-driven framework architectures for scalable, repeatable data solutions
- Solid understanding of Azure Durable Functions, Logic Apps, and event-based orchestration patterns
- Proficiency in Power BI semantic model design and governance across multi-domain analytics environments
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, and infrastructure release gates
- Strong understanding of data governance, Microsoft Purview lineage, and compliance-driven data management
- Proven ability to manage delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams and persona groups
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to technical and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with IT Risk and Governance Control testing is advantageous
