Hiring Pay Ranges: $19.50 - $43.57 per hour (Includes $1.00 per hour Cost of Living Adjustment)
- Accountant I - $19.50 - $25.50 per hour
- Accountant II - $20.20 - $27.43 per hour
- Accountant III - $24.23 - $32.99 per hour
- Accountant IV - $29.99 - $43.57 per hour
- This position may be eligible to receive an additional $1.00 per hour if approved for the Spanish Communication Assistant Program.
- The hiring pay range for this position is commensurate with the level of relevant experience and education.

Summary
- Provides centralized accounting functions and customer service to Bank personnel for accounting functions including bond accounting, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, accounts payable, general ledger entries and reconciliations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- General accounting work for all Sturm banks/companies.
- Processes general ledger entries from a variety of sources.
- Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts on daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Processes accounts payable for multiple companies.
- Responsible for Sales/Use tax accounting/filing.
- Processes Bond accounting entries.
- Public Deposit pledging and reconciliation.
- Processes and reconcile fixed asset entries.
- Processes prepaid accounting entries.
- General ledger account review to support month end close process.
- Review and facilitate correction of entries of other departments and/or outstanding on reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable invoices/expense reports as required.
- Support/Process fixed asset entries/capitalization/inventory as required.
- Maintains a current knowledge and consistent compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, as well as knowledge and consistent compliance with other banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to the position.
- Delivers quality of service as defined by department standards.
- Maintains confidentiality as defined by department standards.

Education and/or Experience
Accountant I
- 6 - 12 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills required.
Accountant II
- 1 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Preferred experience with Prologue and Axiom accounting software.
Accountant III
- 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Preferred experience with Prologue and Axiom accounting software.
- Preferred Associates degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Accountant IV
- 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Preferred experience with Prologue and Axiom accounting software.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
