Description of Task to be Performed:AnaVation is seeking an experienced User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Designer to join our dynamic work program. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience by designing user-centric, intuitive interfaces that ensure seamless user interactions in an agile environment.In close collaboration with product owners, program managers, and software developers, the candidate will translate user needs and business requirements, to include Section 508 compliant solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.This position is currently hybrid (partially remote work with two days per week on-site with our customer in Lorton, VA). Remote status is subject to change at the customer’s direction, however, it is expected to continue. There may also be several meetings throughout the year where team members will collaborate on site for 1 to 2 weeks.This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a CI polygraph.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction or related field of study.Four years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or a similar role.Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design process and front-end development skills.Proficiency in UI design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.)Experience with front-end development skills working with HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, JSON, SQL.Experience in collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and requirements.Ability to support agile development teams by providing design assets, specifications, and feedback throughout the sprint cycleEnsure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards. Experience with responsive design principles and techniques. Knowledge of design systems and component libraries. Experience with data visualization principles.
