We are currently seeking a positive, dependable, and compassionate 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead our overnight team and ensure our residents remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the night.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time

• Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:45 PM - 11:15 pm) / 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

• Location: Rockford, IL

Position Summary

The 3rd Shift Supervisor provides direct resident care while overseeing and supporting overnight staff to ensure quality care, safety, and compliance with community standards. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining a calm, secure, and supportive environment during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

• Provide guidance and oversight to overnight team members

• Ensure staffing assignments are completed and care is delivered according to plan

• Serve as the point of contact for overnight concerns or emergencies

• Communicate important updates to leadership and incoming shifts

Resident Care

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:

  • Dressing and personal hygiene

  • Toileting and bathing

  • Eating and hydration

  • Mobility assistance

• Support residents with instrumental activities of daily living:

  • Housekeeping

  • Laundry

  • Care of personal belongings

• Monitor resident safety and overall well-being

• Accurately document care and significant observations

Environment & Operations

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming home environment

• Complete light housekeeping and maintenance tasks

• Monitor supplies and complete necessary administrative tasks

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed

• Participate in and support life enrichment programming when appropriate

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to work overnight hours consistently

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor

Preferred

• Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or memory care

• Experience working with individuals living with dementia

• Knowledge of the healthcare field

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience
