Installer – In-Home Cable Installation (Telecommunications)
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Installer to join our telecommunications team, specializing in in-home cable installation. This role involves installing and running cable inside customer homes, including attics, crawlspaces, basements, and under-home areas, to support the delivery of reliable high-speed services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and route cable inside residential homes, including attics, crawlspaces, under-house areas, interior walls, and exterior entry points
- Safely access tight or elevated spaces to complete installation tasks
- Set up customer equipment such as ONTs, routers, modems, wifi extenders, and related hardware
- Add customer equipment to accounts using mobile apps and properly close out jobs through required applications
- Load, transport, and carry tools, equipment, and materials needed for each job
- Perform basic drilling, fastening, and cable-routing tasks using hand and power tools
- Ensure all cable runs meet company standards, safety requirements, and local codes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite inside and around customer homes
- Follow instructions from lead technicians and communicate clearly with customers
- Document work completed and report any issues or hazards encountered
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces) and under homes, as well as on ladders and rooftops
- Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks and working in varying temperatures inside attics or crawlspaces
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn installation techniques and follow direction in a fast-paced field environment
- Experience in cable installation, construction, low-voltage wiring, or telecommunications is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license is required
