Insurance Defense Paralegal – Personal Injury
Coral Gables, Florida (On-site)
An established insurance company in Florida is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Coral Gables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys in insurance defense case preparation and file management
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and subpoenas
- Review and analyze medical records and case documents
- Coordinate CMEs and communicate with clients and expert witnesses
- Manage court filings (state & federal e-filing systems) and track case dockets
- Conduct legal research and assist with investigations
- Handle discovery responses and document production
- Maintain organized case files and drive cases toward resolution
Requirements:
- 3 years of paralegal experience
- Prior experience in insurance defense litigation or general liability preferred
- Strong knowledge of Florida court procedures
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Tech-savvy with strong typing/computer skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual is a plus
