Responsibilities
- Provide Configuration Management (CM) support to large- and small-scale projects by establishing processes and procedures that support the procurement, development, integration, test, and delivery of NASA project products
- Support, develop, and implement CM procedures required to manage the planning, identification, controlling, auditing and status accounting of all CM products in accordance with NASA and center-level guidance
- Support, develop, and implement Data Management (DM) procedures required to manage the project repository, secure data and ensure accessibility to project team
- Maintain and manage configuration control of the project baseline documentation, including review routing, approval routing and document release
- Serve as the Configuration Control Board (CCB) secretary responsible for coordinating and managing all CCB activities including generation of CCB agendas/minutes, distribution of documentation for review, final disposition and implementation, and tracking of any related actions
- Manage the review, disposition, and distribution of both formal Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) items and informal partner deliverables
- Review, evaluate, recommend and implement new technology/enhancements to the CDM tools and processes
- Prepare for and support assessments and audits, as required
- Familiarity with various CDM metrics and the ability to provide status on those metrics as needed
- Develop training material and conduct training classes at project kickoff and as needed during the project lifecycle
- 8 years of experience (or 2-4 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree)
- Must be able to support/establish configuration management system for both new and existing projects and provide support to government contract configuration and data management tasks
- Knowledge and understanding of Configuration and Data Management industry standards as endorsed by NASA
- Must be detail-oriented and able to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient in MS 365 suite of tools
- Familiar with Power Automate workflows
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently with very little functional guidance
- Ability to collaborate successfully with a project team including project management and technical leads, and support project disciplines including Systems Engineering, Safety Mission Assurance, and various technical leads
- Must have knowledge and/or experience developing, documenting and implementing processes and procedures
- Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA assets
- Some travel may be required.
