Requirements
- Demonstrated use of Thermal Desktop and documenting the analysis, present/report findings, guide design and manufacturing, and verifying results using testing. Models may vary from Ground Support Equipment (GSE) or test fixturing to flight vehicles or satellites.
- Experience with Python programming or similar.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
- The candidate must have demonstrated experience documenting reports, and technical memos in both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and presenting findings to internal NASA groups, designers, project leadership, and customers at project meetings, branch meetings, and design reviews as requested by project managers.
Desired Experience
- Experience in performing Structural, Thermal and Optical Performance (STOP) analysis.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and/or MBSE Multidisciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) or optimization and/or sensitivity studies scripting models together for system-based analysesd.
- Models are often made from scratch or by using CAD geometry as a framework.A Working knowledge of PTC/CREO software.
- The ability to use other software to solve thermal problems and programming capability.
