Analytical Laboratories is looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Sample Receiving Team Member.
Analytical Laboratories, Inc. offers the largest variety of scientific testing and sampling services of any private laboratory in Idaho. We serve Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Washington and Nevada. We perform comprehensive testing for individuals, private groups, commercial establishments, mines and government entities.
Join our dynamic Sample Receiving team and become a vital part of our laboratory operations! As a Sample Receiving Team Member, you will be the first point of contact for incoming samples and materials, ensuring they are accurately logged, inspected, and prepared for downstream analysis. Your energetic approach will help maintain the highest standards of quality control and compliance.
Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming samples and materials against shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Log all samples into Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) with precise data collection and documentation.
- Conduct quality control checks on samples for proper labeling, packaging, and compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with laboratory teams to prioritize sample processing based on project timelines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sample receiving area, adhering to strict laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
- Assist in preparing samples for various analyses.
- Ensure timely sample intake and proper storage conditions.
- Answer phone calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
- Greeting and helping clients with the sample submission process.
- Transferring samples to the appropriate department for testing.
Experience
- Science background preferred.
- Computer skills required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Prior experience working in a laboratory setting is highly preferred.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or similar data management tools is advantageous.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
