What You'll Do

As an RF Gradient Mechanical Assembler, you will perform a wide range of mechanical and electromechanical assembly, repair, and rework operations on sophisticated medical equipment and subsystems. You will work from engineering drawings, operational method sheets, diagrams, and verbal instructions to build and restore critical assemblies that support advanced healthcare technologies.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Assemble, disassemble, and rework complex top-level and sub-level electromechanical assemblies
  • Build and repair high-voltage power supplies, RF modules, combiners, gradient amplifiers, capacitor banks, wiring harnesses, manifolds, and liquid-cooled assemblies
  • Follow detailed manufacturing documentation including blueprints, wiring diagrams, operational method sheets, and quality standards
  • Install mechanical and electrical components such as transformers, IGBTs, power FETs, heatsinks, fans, hoses, and printed circuit boards
  • Perform troubleshooting activities including resistance checks, component evaluations, pressure testing, and mechanical inspections
  • Interpret engineering drawings and implement engineering change orders as required
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Production teams to resolve product issues and improve manufacturing processes
  • Support repair operations by identifying and correcting mechanical defects not identified during initial inspections
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, cranes, and lifting equipment safely and effectively
  • Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, burnishing, and other fabrication activities when necessary
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow ESD, OSHA, FDA, CDC, PPE, and hazardous material handling requirements
  • Assist in training and mentoring less experienced assemblers

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented manufacturing professional who enjoys building complex products and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Qualifications Include

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 6 years of mechanical or electromechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing, repair, or production environment
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, measurement equipment, and testing devices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Experience working within quality-controlled manufacturing environments
  • SAP and/or Agile experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
