We are currently looking for a Guest Assistance Officer / Security.
What you will be doing:
Performs protective and enforcement functions in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbance and threats to life and property to maintain a safe and secure environment for all colleagues, guests and visitors and ensure the safety of company/guest assets. The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned to security. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identifies situations where security violations have occurred and takes reasonable and prudent action to ensure that safety of colleagues, visitors, and company/guest assets.
- Performs scheduled and random inspection of physical premises to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions; observes cautions, instructs, corrects, investigates, and reports persons or incidents involving suspected break-ins, tampering, vandalism, thefts, or property damage.
- Maintains watch at hotel entrances/exits and access-controlled points; admits or denies access as directed by company management or security supervision; issues identification, if applicable, and provides direction as needed by Security.
- Provides immediate response to all emergency situations including but not limited to structural and brush fires, medical emergencies, confined space rescues, undesirable assists, violations of company policies or civil laws, and hazardous material incidents’ assists until proper authorities arrive. - Monitors property being removed from restricted building/departments or company premises to ensure proper authorization. Security.
- Monitors security and fire protection systems and equipment; tests, documents and ensure system and equipment readiness.
- Documents and reports and irregularity, incident, or emergency actions concerning safety and security.
- Checks packages and identification; questions and/ or detains unauthorized persons without proper documentation or those found in restricted areas.
- Interfaces with local law enforcement and security agencies as situation require. Security.
- Prepares all required reports and completes required paperwork by security.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
1 year of Security experience preferred, but not required
