Anago Cleaning Systems, a nationally recognized franchised commercial cleaning company, has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant, based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Pompano Beach, FL. With over 40 Master Franchise locations across the U.S. and internationally, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our award-winning team.
Salary: $63,000/yr

This is a full-time position: Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in the corporate accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and supporting management reporting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform monthly and annual close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and detailed account analysis.
- Perform General Ledger (GL) maintenance and complex reconciliations for cash, fixed assets, and various balance sheet accounts for multiple entities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements) and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct variance analysis by comparing financial results (P&Ls) against budgets and prior periods, investigating and documenting significant discrepancies.
- Perform inter-company reconciliations and ensure proper elimination entries.
- Assist with day-to-day cash management, including preparing Wire or ACH transfers and managing treasury functions for multi-company operations.
- Support the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accurate coding and timely reconciliation of vendor accounts.
- Act as a key liaison for outside accountants, auditors, and tax preparers, preparing audit schedules, providing necessary documentation, and assisting with year-end reconciliations and audits.
- Utilize and maintain accounting software (QuickBooks) and sophisticated spreadsheets/databases to improve accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Support management by creating ad-hoc reports and providing financial data for regulatory and internal decision-making bodies.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of progressive professional accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management and full month-end close processes.
- Expert-level knowledge of GAAP compliance and financial statement preparation.
- Experience in both cash and accrual accounting methods.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
