Position Summary:
Anactisis, LLC is seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Technician to join our growing team located in Pittsburgh, PA. We are looking for a professional with experience in following reaction protocols and prepping samples for testing. Exposure to the fields of Hydrometallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering. We are looking for a meticulous lab technician who will be responsible for supporting our laboratory staff with the primary goal of optimizing lab procedures and succeeding in producing reliable final products and test results. This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities:
- Capable of working both independently and in a team setting
- Consistently carry out laboratory protocols
- Reliably carry out in-house test methods
- Provide general assistance to the R&D laboratories within the organization
- This position would be responsible for following chemical formulations from benchtop scale up to 15-gallon batches of material
- Capable of following new protocols including long-term aging and stability testing.
- Ability to work independently, learn rapidly, and become proficient via hands-on experience with operation and maintenance of mixing devices, ovens, viscometers, etc.
- This position would assist in the Analytical Laboratory and interface with instrumentation such as LC, GC, ICP, MS, extractions, and titrations. Method development is a plus.
- Ability to interact with others and work effectively under pressure as part of a multi-disciplinary team of individuals.
- Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous complex projects with short deadlines and quick, short turn-around tasks while still producing superior quality work products.
- Ability to maintain a laboratory notebook, communicate research findings both verbally and through documentation, and draw scientific conclusions.
Requirements:
- Strong Chemistry or Engineering background. Excellent computer-based visual, oral and written communication skills to successfully interact with the high-powered and dynamic technical, regulatory, environmental, sales and marketing functions within the organization and with the company's customers and suppliers.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or similar Physical Science
