Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger accounting by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure consistency across financial statements.
- Help with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to maintain precise financial records.
- Enter data accurately into various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage,
- Support payroll processing, tax filings, and other governmental accounting requirements as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries.
- Knowledge of financial concepts such as balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for account analysis and financial report writing.
