The mission of the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce is to connect, support, and advocate for local businesses while strengthening the economic vitality and quality of life in our community.
The Anacortes Chamber serves as a hub for business leadership, community collaboration, economic development, and tourism promotion. Through business advocacy, networking, events, leadership initiatives, and strategic partnerships, we help create a strong and resilient local economy. The Chamber also operates Experience Anacortes, the tourism arm of the city, promoting Anacortes as a premier destination for visitors, recreation, and commerce.
We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven leader to serve as our next President & CEO, someone who thrives on building connections, leading teams, inspiring collaboration, and championing the business community.

What You’ll Do, Lead, & Inspire
- Provide strategic leadership for the Chamber, Staff, and Board of Directors
- Foster a positive, collaborative, mission-driven team culture
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing staff
- Help shape the future of business and economic vitality in Anacortes
Build Strong Business Relationships
- Grow and retain Chamber membership through exceptional relationship management
- Serve as a visible and trusted leader within the business community
- Create meaningful networking, educational, and business development opportunities for members
Advocate for the Business Community
- Represent the Chamber at the local, regional, and state levels
- Collaborate with community and economic development partners
- Stay informed on issues affecting local businesses and economic growth
Drive Community Engagement & Events
- Serve as the Chamber’s primary spokesperson and ambassador
- Lead signature events and initiatives that support local businesses and tourism
- Strengthen partnerships with civic organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders
Oversee Organizational Operations
- Ensure strong financial stewardship and organizational sustainability
- Support strategic planning and Board governance
- Maintain operational excellence across programs, services, and events
What We’re Looking ForQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field preferred
- Minimum five years of leadership experience in business development, economic development, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of nonprofit operations, budgeting, governance, and community partnerships preferred

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $95,000–$115,000 DOE
- Exempt salaried position
- Competitive Benefits package: Insurance: health, dental, eye; 401(k) match; Federally recognized holidays plus two weeks “10” working days of paid vacation (no more than 10 days carry over per year); Sick leave accrued 1 hour per every 40 hours worked. COLA up to x%.
