As a Front of House team member, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional service and helping our customers discover the joy of our artisanal gelato creations.
Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, providing information about our gelato flavors, ingredients, and applicable allergens.
Order Taking: Accurately take customer orders and handle transactions with attention to detail and efficiency.
Gelato Presentation: Scoop and serve gelato with care and precision, ensuring each serving meets our high standards for quality and presentation.
Menu Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of our rotating menu offerings, including gelato flavor names and ingredients.
Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the front of house area clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout shifts.
Compliance: Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Customer Engagement: Foster a welcoming atmosphere and engage with customers to create a positive and memorable experience.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with back of house staff, management, and ownership to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a food service or hospitality environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Capability to stand for long periods of time and ability to lift 35 pounds
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of gelato or ice cream products and their ingredients
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems
- Multilingual skills are a plus
