HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Manufacturing Technician, End-of-Line to join its team.In this role, you will support vehicle-level functional testing at the end of the manufacturing process, ensuring autonomous vehicles meet quality, safety, and performance requirements before deployment. You will work hands-on with vehicles, collaborate closely with engineers and technicians, and provide clear communication and documentation throughout all testing activities.The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience working with autonomous or advanced automotive systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating diagnostics, cross-functional communication, and structured processes.As a Manufacturing Technician, End-of-Line, you’ll:Vehicle Testing & ValidationConduct comprehensive vehicle-level functional testing throughout all End-of-Line (EOL) processes.Spend approximately 50% of your time driving vehicles in autonomous mode.Perform diagnostics, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting with minimal engineering support.Execute vehicle bring-up procedures, including required software and firmware updates.Support testing on new vehicle platforms, helping identify early issues and validate fixes before fleet deployment.Cross-Functional Collaboration & CommunicationCommunicate clearly and professionally with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional partners.Provide regular testing updates to leads and management.Escalate issues that block testing progress and proactively report new or unexpected behavior.Collaborate with engineering teams to refine processes and contribute feedback for future development.Operational Excellence & DocumentationFollow established processes and procedures while identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.Generate accurate mission reports, ZPT reports, and other documentation tied to vehicle readiness.Follow up on outstanding ZPTs and provide summaries or recommendations.Assist in creating and refining Manufacturing AST work instructions in partnership with engineers.Systems, Tools & Technical ProficiencyNavigate and utilize key tools and systems such as TestRail, GitHub, Looker, CANalyzer, Vehicle Testers, MFG PSS, and Twilio.Interpret and apply technical documents, schematics, and diagrams.Support software, firmware, and hardware-related tasks as required by Engineering or General Assembly.Shop & Vehicle OperationsMaintain clean, organized vehicles, equipment, and work areas in compliance with Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.Assist with vehicle transportation, movement logistics, and general shop support.Multitask across multiple vehicles and mission lifecycles in a dynamic testing environment.Support evolving processes, cross-train across tasks, and assist other teams as needed.
