What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx Ground Alternate Vehicle Program (AVP) – Delivery Driver [Personal Vehicle] position at AMZ Transportation, Inc.?
We're seeking candidates who would like to deliver FedEx packages to customer homes using their own vehicle. Shifts start at 8:00 AM and you're free to go home as soon as you deliver all of your packages. The schedule would be Monday-Fri and one weekend day per week.
Vehicle & Hard Requirements (PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING)
To qualify for this position, candidates MUST meet all of the following requirements:
- Personal Vehicle: You MUST own and drive your own personal vehicle for this role (sedan, SUV, or minivan). It must have a curb weight of under 10,000 pounds.
- Vehicle Year: Vehicle MUST be a 2012 model or NEWER, in good operating condition.
- Documentation: Must provide current Proof of Auto Insurance and Vehicle Registration.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
- License & Checks: Valid driver’s license; must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical Capability: Must be physically able to load, unload, and manage packages up to 50 lbs.
- Tech Requirement: Smartphone (iOS/Android) with an active cellular data plan for clock-in and navigation apps.
Compensation & Fuel Reimbursement
- Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour
- Fuel Allowance: 100% Fuel Reimbursed (keeps your earnings in your pocket!).
