Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Details:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intern to join our accounting team this summer. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance processes, with opportunities to collaborate across various functions. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for success in this position.
- Assisting with data entry, performing reconciliations, and preparing reports.
- Providing support for team members during month-end close activities.
- Project mentorship with the Director of Corporate Controller.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education
- Attending four-year college or university to attain an Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Bachelor's degree; or already awarded Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of general accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and project leadership skills.
- Team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a sense of urgency.
- Self-starter with an analytical mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Experience with Excel or Smartsheet's.
Skills
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
