Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Storage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our storage facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage practices, and working with a team to provide exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the storage facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Face to face sales - meet and greet customers as they explain their storage needs.
Delinquency tracking - must be able to work with tenants to ensure prompt payment.
Initiate Marketing Ideas - work with other locations to provide and receive marketing approaches. Become a community ambassador with our local Chambers.
Lease Agreements - completed accurately
Light Maintenance: Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Monitor Move Outs and keep facility in a rent-ready state
Property and store upkeep
Telephone salesmanship - demonstrate ability to get prospect callers to location.
Tenant information sheets - kept current
Banking as needed (need to have good cash management skills)
Use Office Products like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook: Because Amy's Self Storage is a leader in technology and graphics, please list the computer applications used
Manage inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
- Handle employee orientation, training & development, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to optimize storage space and enhance product visibility.
- Utilize property management system for sales transactions and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Develop/implement marketing strategies to promote storage services and increase customer engagement.
- Foster strong relationships with customers through excellent communication skills and effective problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within retail or storage environments.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes for both the company and customers.
- Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management principles.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in cashiering, customer service, merchandising, stocking, and shift management is highly desirable.
