About the Opportunity
The Research and Development Engineer position will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and design. This role will be responsible for conducting research, developing prototypes, documenting test results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge solutions to market.
The R & D Engineer will perform these duties:
- Conduct research to identify emerging technologies, materials, design solutions, and methodologies relevant to high pressure storage systems.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define research objectives and strategies tailored to the unique requirements of high-pressure gas storage systems.
- Conduct materials research and development to improve the performance of our product through material modifications and processing.
- Design and develop prototypes utilizing engineering CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Work hands-on to translate conceptual designs into functional prototypes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to evaluate performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Gain expertise in certification standards then develop designs and execute prototype test plans to evaluate product capabilities relative to certification requirements.
- Translate conceptual designs into practical solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations.
About your Skills &Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Demonstrated experience in research and development engineering, preferably in a start-up environment or fast-paced R&D setting.
- Experience developing and executing a research and development project on materials as well as complex products.
- Proficiency in CAD software and rapid prototyping tools for design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience documenting research and development activities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and contribute to the company’s growth and success.
- Sharp analytical and effective time management skills
