Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Professional Liability Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team. You will help keep accounts moving from quote through renewal by handling the day-to-day processing, follow-up, and documentation that underwriters depend on. This is a hybrid role based in Windsor, CT, in a growth-focused, collaborative environment where your work matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support underwriters across the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, quotes, binding, and policy issuance
- Process policy changes, extensions, and non-renewal or solicitation activity
- Follow up with agents and brokers on open quotes and outstanding items
- Prepare and send accurate emails, documents, and policy materials
- Use our systems and renewal tools to keep account records complete and current
- Meet deadlines while managing a high volume of accounts
- 3-5 years of insurance experience, preferably in professional liability or a related specialty line
- Working knowledge of policy forms, endorsements, and the policy issuance process
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication with agents, brokers, and internal teams
- Proficiency in underwriting or policy systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong organization and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused approach with a strong sense of accountability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Business Risk Partners offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package within a flexible and dynamic work environment. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Windsor, CT. The salary range is $55,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience.
Pursuant to Connecticut regulation, the compensation range for this position is as stated and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
Connecticut Pay Range: $55,000 USD - $75,000 USD
