This position is accountable for underwriting all new Small Group ACA business for the entire group of Carrier Partners that we represent. This role effectively collaborates across all areas to ensure a positive customer experience that leads to sales results. The central purpose of this position is to provide a customer-centric focus, model purposeful leadership, and drive sales results for RSM, Brokers, Carrier Partners, and Amwins Benefits.

Maryland Pay Range: $75,000 USD - $85,000 USD

Responsibilities:
- Provides brokers with timely, solution-orientated responses to their business needs.
- Salesforce knowledge and understanding of process flow
- Comprehensive review of new business paperwork to qualify the group, employee eligibility and participation and collaboration to find solutions-based results including:
- Review Master Application
- Review Legal & Tax Documents/Quarterly Wage Report for eligible W2 employees
- Analyze sold rate quote for plan/rate accuracy
- Review Employee Applications / Waivers
- Gather ID cards (as needed)
- Create and send Requirement letter to Broker & Sales Team
- Perform regular follow-ups with Broker as needed
- Maintain files and update status in Salesforce through lifecycle of each case
- Package files for submission to carrier and work with carrier partners to advance group to approval
- Audit approval to verify enrollment, final rates and policy info
- Attend all Sales Team meetings to collaborate and strategize to drive sales
- Assist in identifying opportunities for ancillary attachment
- Coordinate with RSM/BSR and Broker regarding opportunities
- Evaluate success / room for improvement and communicate with team
- Comprehensive database and Carrier guideline knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Outlook, intermediate Excel, MS teams
- Web based audio/video conferencing
- Salesforce experience preferred
- EaseCentral experience preferred
- University degree preferred
- Ability to manage competing priorities, and negotiate mutually successful outcomes
- Detail-oriented, ability to handle variety of tasks
- Collaborate and Partner effectively with internal and external teams
- Mentor assigned employees and new hires to develop their full potential
- Comprehensive organizational skills
- Clear, professional oral and written communication skill.
- Strong problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mind-set
- Minimum 5 years of related experience; or equivalent of education and experience
- Insurance agency experience is preferred
- Inside sales experience is preferred
- Professional customer service experience strongly preferred
- Fluent understanding of carrier products and benefits
- Experienced and clear understanding of underwriting guidelines
