Position Summary
 
Reporting to the SVP Sales, the Regional Sales Associate is a colleague to a high performing sales team and is responsible to develop sales strategies and attract new clients by sourcing new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. 
 
Key Areas of Responsibility
 
  • “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (cold calling, presentations and other techniques.)
  • Forecast sales, develop and execute on innovative sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Build productive long-lasting relationships by identifying and evaluating customer needs through a thoughtfully customer-centric needs-analyses.
  • Meet personal and team sales targets.
  • Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  • Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments.
  • Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data.
  • Maintain and expand client database within assigned territory
  • Managing multiple accounts simultaneously.

  • The ISR will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating broker leads, qualifying prospects and managing our portfolio of products and services. 
  • Research competitor sales and business intelligence.
  • Represent the brand during all customer and prospect interactions.
  • Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
  • Monitor the company's industry competitors, new products, and market conditions.
  • Exemplary time management skills are critical for this role.
  • Team oriented / strong interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable working with dynamic and diverse customers, and able to handle personalities and situations with a positive can-do attitude.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Proven sales experience, group benefits insurance experience preferred.
  • Track record of over-achieving goals.
  • Solutions-oriented mind-set.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Current CA Accident and Health and Life Insurance License.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Outlook.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and achievement driven.
  • Firm grasp on ACA and local insurance markets.
