What We’re Looking For
Are you passionate about solving complex problems right where the action happens? We're building a brand-new QA Manufacturing Support team and looking for a Quality Engineer to be a crucial partner to our production teams. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products from the ground up.
In this role, you'll find the perfect blend of hands-on investigation and strategic problem-solving. You will spend about 60% of your time on the manufacturing floor, working directly with manufacturing process and operations teams to investigate quality issues, and the other part in the office, analyzing data and documenting solutions.
Day to Day, you will:
Partner with our manufacturing division to identify and troubleshoot quality issues related to production processes and equipment, coming from our quality management system (ETQ) and from direct inquiry.
Lead root cause analysis investigations to uncover the core of a problem and prevent it from happening again.
Develop, implement, and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
Create clear and concise reports to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.
Contribute to key regulatory initiatives, such as the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA).
Perform Gemba/Hygiene Walks through our manufacturing facilities, providing QA direction towards resolution. Adherence to GMP guidelines and wearing of designated personal protective equipment while on the manufacturing floor is required.
Maintain hygiene related programs, including environmental monitoring and swab collection.
Your performance would be measured by your NCMR completions, the thoroughness of your quality investigations, and the outcomes of your projects. There may be 1-2 weeks of travel per year in this role.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing engineering role within a manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on troubleshooting issues.
Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
Familiarity with a regulated manufacturing environment (such as consumer goods, personal care, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics). Experience with GMPs is preferred.
Skills to Be Successful in the Role:
Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills, with a natural curiosity for how things work.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the skill to translate technical information for different audiences.
A collaborative spirit and the ability to build strong working relationships with partners in a fast-paced production environment.
A proactive and hands-on approach, with an enthusiasm for spending significant time on the production floor.
The ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment where production needs can change quickly.
Amway does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Do not apply for this role if you will need Amway immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT, TN, etc.) now or in the future.
What’s Special About this Team:
You'll be a foundational member of our newly formed QA Manufacturing Support team—a dynamic 9-person group created to be a dedicated quality partner for our manufacturing division. We are bringing together expertise from across the organization to build a new culture focused on collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and direct support for the manufacturing floor. As an early member, you will have a real voice in shaping our processes, defining our team culture, and establishing a new standard for quality partnership.
