What do we need:
We are looking for a Group Leader to join our Heat Treatment & Milling team. This person will be primarily work a days shift, Monday - Thursday from 7:00am - 5:30pm with the occasional Friday. Shift flexibility will be an expectation for this role.

The Quincy Plant is responsible for the extraction and concentration of nutrients for our Nutrilite Brand. The Quincy plant runs 24-hours a day, six days a week In this role you will be on a team tasked with developing and supporting our manufacturing strategy focused on safely delivering a consistent supply of cost competitive, quality products to our customers worldwide. This exciting opportunity will allow you to direct and manage equipment, facilities, and personnel to maximize margins in order to ensure the best possible return on assets and optimal unit cost.
What’s special about this role:
As Group Leader, you will directly oversee all production activities within NBC’s Heat Treatment and Milling departments to include ensuring all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and cost effectively in order to meet schedule requirements and timelines.
As the Group Leader, you will proactively supply, review, and approve all production/operational costing data to ensure proper standards are set and delivery dates are achievable. You will directly lead a team of production and support staff. Has direct responsibilities for ensuring adequate staffing levels, work direction, performance management, disciplinary action, policy development, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and development. Indirectly oversees technical support staff to include Engineering, Maintenance and other technical support staff responsible for supporting area of operations. Participates in the strategic planning process by supplying data, analysis, and recommendations which influence decisions and outcomes in areas such as labor resources, asset management, plant capacity planning, and ITM projects. Reviews operating budget and reacts to variances (both positive and negative) by changing operating procedures and direction in order to maintain positive budget levels. Develops, submits, and approves annual departmental budget with span of control.
Required qualifications:
- Seven years’ experience minimally in manufacturing management
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor, provide feedback, and handle conflict management
- Bachelor’s degree
Skills to be successful in the role:
- Prior experience within food, dietary supplement or drug production environment
- Prior experience leading a project or making a positive impact to a business result
- Ability to work with cross functional partners
- Proficient with MS Office, and having the ability to pick up ERP systems, including JDE and dcLink
