Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, flat beds, trailers and other commercial drivers’ vehicles, following all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts and telehandler, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Deliver materials directly to job locations, providing friendly and professional service at every stop.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and complete all necessary documentation accurately.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and organizing shipments for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially with route driving in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks, flat beds and towing trailers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials regularly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and telehandler.
- Experience in load & unload operations, route planning, and managing delivery schedules efficiently.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and move throughout the workday comfortably.
