Litigation Attorney

Amundsen Davis seeks a litigation attorney to handle media, first amendment, defamation and invasion of privacy matters in its Chicago office. Successful candidates must be licensed in Illinois and have at least 5 years of civil litigation experience. Experience with substantive writing and depositions is required. General responsibilities include representing clients in all aspects of litigation including court hearings and conferences, performing all aspects of oral and written discovery; conducting extensive fact investigation/development and legal research; drafting pleadings, client reports, and affidavits; engaging in active motion practice in both state and federal court, including dispositive motions; and trial preparation and trial work. A strong work ethic, careful attention to detail, analytical abilities, solid research & writing skills, and the ability to work well on a team are a must.
