Position Summary
The Endpoint Engineer is responsible for the engineering, administration, security, and continuous improvement of the firm's endpoint computing environment. This position serves as the primary owner of endpoint technologies and employee technology lifecycle services, ensuring that endpoint operations are secure, standardized, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The role partners with human resources, office administration, service desk, infrastructure engineering, and technology vendors to deliver a consistent technology experience across the enterprise while driving operational excellence through automation, documentation, and process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following are the key responsibilities of the Endpoint Engineer:
- Own the technical execution of employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, access provisioning, licensing, endpoint deployment, equipment recovery, and related documentation
- Administer enterprise endpoint management platforms to deploy, configure, secure, monitor, maintain, and support endpoint hardware, operating systems, applications, firmware, drivers, security updates, and configuration standards
- Manage the complete lifecycle of endpoint hardware, including deployment, inventory, refresh planning, warranty coordination, repair, redeployment, retirement, and asset accountability
- Maintain endpoint security by administering endpoint security technologies, monitoring compliance, supporting vulnerability remediation, and ensuring adherence to firm security standards and policies
- Provide advanced technical support and problem resolution with an emphasis on root cause analysis, operational stability, automation, and continuous service improvement
- Develop, maintain, and improve operational documentation, desktop standards, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and repeatable support processes
- Plan, test, validate, and integrate endpoint hardware, operating systems, applications, firmware, drivers, security updates, and configuration changes throughout their lifecycle to ensure reliable, secure, and standardized production deployments
- Participate in infrastructure, security, and business technology initiatives while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Minimum 5 years administering enterprise Windows endpoint environments
- Minimum 2 years administering enterprise endpoint management platforms supporting medium to large organizations
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, enterprise endpoint hardware, and asset management
- Experience supporting geographically distributed office environments
- Legal or professional services experience preferred
Technical Qualifications:
Required
- Microsoft Windows Enterprise administration
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Microsoft Office and endpoint productivity technologies
- PowerShell or comparable scripting and automation
- Endpoint security technologies and fundamental networking concepts
Preferred
- CompTIA A or equivalent certification
- HP enterprise management tools (HPIA, CMSL, MIK) or comparable hardware management platforms
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and sound technical judgment
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining ongoing comprehensive documentation, performing disciplined testing and validation, adhering to quality assurance and security best practices, and driving continuous improvement throughout the endpoint technology lifecycle
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Occasional travel to firm offices and the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
