I. Job Overview
The Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Development is a core member of the company's senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO or President. This position is responsible for the company's overall medium- and long-term strategic planning, business development, mergers and acquisitions and investments, strategic partnerships, and organizational growth projects, ensuring the company achieves sustainable growth and maximizes long-term value in a highly competitive market environment.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Strategy and Planning
Lead the company's medium- and long-term development strategy, annual strategic planning, and rolling strategic evaluation.
Research the macroeconomic environment, industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment to provide decision-making support to the board of directors and management.
Formulate and promote the implementation of company-level strategic goals, key growth paths, and core strategic initiatives.
2. Business Development and Growth Management
Identify and evaluate opportunities in new businesses, new markets, new products, and new business models.
Promote cross-departmental collaboration to support the expansion and scaling of core businesses.
Design and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development and continuously optimize growth efficiency.
3. Mergers & Acquisitions, Investments, and Capital Operations
Responsible for the overall planning and execution of the company's mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic investments, joint ventures, and other projects.
Lead target selection, commercial due diligence, valuation analysis, transaction structure design, and negotiation.
Coordinate with legal, financial, investment banking, and external advisors to ensure compliant and efficient transaction completion.
Responsible for post-merger integration (PMI) to achieve synergies and value release.
4. Strategic Cooperation and Ecosystem Building
Build and manage key strategic partnerships (financial institutions, technology companies, industry partners, etc.)
Promote cross-industry and cross-regional cooperation to create an industrial ecosystem and competitive barriers
Represent the company in high-level business negotiations and major cooperation agreements
5. Strategic Projects and Organizational Collaboration
Lead company-level strategic projects (such as digital transformation, organizational upgrades, global expansion)
Coordinate various business lines and functional departments to ensure strategic projects proceed as planned
Establish a strategic management mechanism to enhance organizational execution and strategic implementation capabilities
6. Management and Leadership
Build and lead the corporate strategy and development team to enhance the team's professional capabilities
Cultivate high-potential talent and build a management team with strategic thinking and execution capabilities
Report strategic progress and key achievements to the board of directors and senior management regularly
III. Qualifications Basic Requirements
Master's degree or above, with preference given to MBA, finance, economics, strategic management, or related majors
Over 20 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, investment banking, consulting, or M&A
At least 5 years of senior management or director/vice president level management experience
