Job Summary
The ideal candidate will supervise the activities in the respective manufacturing department to produce quality parts while maintaining production goals and providing a safe work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Build a flexible, capable workforce by ensuring employees are cross-trained across all pay-grade positions—including performance tasks, quality and process checks, charting, safety procedures, and quantity verification.
- Maintain strong quality standards by continuously monitoring employee performance and equipment throughout the shift.
- Support team members in realizing their full potential through active mentoring, timely evaluations, recognition, corrective guidance, and coaching.
- Promote a safe work environment by upholding strong housekeeping practices, providing proper safety equipment, and ensuring it is used appropriately.
- Foster fair and equitable treatment of employees by uniformly applying company policies and procedures.
- Maintain smooth production flow by communicating effectively with previous and next shifts regarding production status, scrap levels, and quality concerns.
- Assist in resolving workplace issues by encouraging team members to use the open-door policy and guiding them through conflict-resolution steps.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises hourly employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
