Shift is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 8:00am - 4:00pm; Saturday & Sunday - midnight - 8:00am. Rest days are Thursday/Friday

Job Summary

This person will be required to work in a lockdown facility due to the high value of the inventory.

Essential Functions

• Must be capable of multi-tasking and meeting assigned deadlines
• Must have the ability to learn and understand the functioning of the SAP inventory system and inventory control techniques
• Must have a valid driver’s license to pick up and deliver parts and supplies
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment
• Must complete DOT Hazmat training/certification on schedule as determined by supervisor
• Must complete DOT forklift training/certification on schedule as determined by supervisor
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must comply with Amtrak’s Standards of Excellence, safety rules and all other policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license
• Warehouse forklift, electric pallet jacks, shipping and receiving tools including crimpers
• General warehouse materials receiving, stocking and packaging procedure
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Amtrak Material Control Department experience
• Experience with SAP Warehouse Management Software application
• Experience in a lock down material warehouse facility
  
  

Communications And Interpersonal Skills

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

The hourly range is $27.62 – $36.83 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
