What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCADA / Controls Engineer position at Amtex Systems Inc?
Need Controls Engineer with Aveva or Wonderware experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and support AVEVA Wonderware System Platform and InTouch SCADA applications.
- Develop and modify HMI screens, integrate PLCs with SCADA systems, and troubleshoot communication issues.
- Support AVEVA Historian for data collection and reporting.
- Perform system startups, commissioning, testing, and field troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Provide remote engineering support, diagnostics, system modifications, and optimization.
- Document system configurations, changes, and commissioning activities while working closely with project managers, operators, and maintenance teams.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, SCADA Engineer, or Automation Engineer.
- Strong experience with AVEVA Wonderware System Platform and/or InTouch.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC, or Profinet.
- Experience troubleshooting SCADA, HMI, PLC, and industrial control networks.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the Atlanta metro area and surrounding counties.
