Our client seeking a highly skilled Power BI Data Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Eatontown. This is a critical role focused on bridging the gap between raw manufacturing data and actionable business intelligence. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines that power our executive dashboards and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect ETL Pipelines: Design and implement robust ETL/ELT processes to extract data from various manufacturing systems (ERP, IoT sensors, and SQL databases).
- Data Modeling: Develop high-performance Star Schemas and Tabular models within Power BI to ensure fast, accurate reporting.
- Optimize Performance: Fine-tune DAX queries and data refresh schedules to handle large-scale manufacturing datasets.
- Strategic Integration: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Modernize Infrastructure: Help migrate and manage data within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (where applicable) to streamline our data engineering lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4 years of experience in Data Engineering with a heavy focus on the Microsoft BI Stack.
- ETL Expertise: Deep proficiency in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or Power Query (M).
- Power BI Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of DAX, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
- Tech Stack: Strong familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or Snowflake.
- The "Plus": Hands-on experience or certifications in Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable.
- Communication: Ability to work onsite daily in Eatontown and collaborate effectively with shop-floor managers and executive leadership.
