We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with expertise in COBOL and Java to support a critical mainframe modernization project. This is a hybrid role based out of our Conroe, Texas office. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing, analyzing, modifying, and testing complex applications to bridge the gap between legacy systems and modern architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis & Design: Assess complex business requirements and design technology approaches that align with global architecture and modernization goals.
• Development: Write, modify, and test code primarily in COBOL and Java to ensure seamless system integration and performance.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical direction and guidance to team members. This includes creating training materials and delivering presentations on products or technologies.
• Strategic Planning: Identify and implement technical and operational solutions promptly to mitigate risks or process bottlenecks.

Technical Requirements

• Core Systems: Proficiency in COBOL programming, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Modernization Tools: Familiarity with Micro Focus, Visual Studio IDE, and MS SQL databases (Preferred).
• Architecture: Strong competency in open standards, database management, and integration technologies.
• Collaboration Tools: Experience using Microsoft Teams for professional communication.
