We are seeking a Mainframe Developer with strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise applications in a COBOL/mainframe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
- Perform coding, unit testing, system testing, debugging, and production support
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation
- Support database conversion and legacy modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with business users, developers, and technical teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues
Required Skills
- 5 years COBOL coding, testing, and debugging
- 5 years IBM OS/JCL (MVS)
- 5 years CICS development, testing, and debugging
- 5 years IBM DB2 development, testing, and debugging
- Experience with stored procedures
- Strong experience with testing, debugging, and production support
- Experience creating technical and user documentation
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education
Preferred Skills
- IDMS to DB2 conversion
- IDMS/DC to CICS conversion
- Information Builders FOCUS
- Government or judicial systems experience
- Legacy system modernization and database migration experience
