About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial & Cost Analyst to play a critical role in supporting our Finance organization through a 2.5-year SAP S/4HANA implementation, while maintaining operations within our legacy Microsoft Dynamics environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dual-system environment, has strong hands-on SAP expertise, and brings deep experience in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
Following the successful SAP implementation, this role is expected to transition into a permanent position within the Finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Accounting & Close
- Prepare and review inventory and overhead-related journal entries
- Perform inventory reconciliations, transaction reviews, and reserve analysis
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Ensure data accuracy between SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics during parallel operations
Product Costing & Pricing
- Maintain and analyze product costing and pricing models
- Perform standard cost updates, variance analysis, and margin reporting
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost drivers and improvements
Inventory Accounting
- Oversee inventory transactions, reserves, and adjustments
- Analyze slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory
- Ensure compliance with GAAP for inventory valuation and reporting
SAP S/4HANA Implementation
- Serve as a Finance SME during SAP S/4HANA implementation
- Participate in UAT, data validation, and system cutover activities
- Support development of future-state finance and inventory processes
- Document process flows and accounting procedures
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain financial and operational reports
- Perform variance analysis and deliver actionable insights
- Support leadership with reporting during system transition
Regulatory Compliance (TTB)
- Prepare and submit TTB drawback and excise tax claims
- Ensure compliance with Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau regulations
- Support audits and regulatory inquiries
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10 years of accounting/finance experience
- Strong experience in inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred)
- Experience working in dual ERP environments (SAP Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Macros and complex formulas
Preferred
- Experience in food & beverage or regulated manufacturing industries
- Prior involvement in SAP implementation or finance transformation projects
- Experience with TTB compliance and reporting
