Maintenance ElectricianLOCATION: Commerce, CASCHEDULE: 2 pm-10 pm OR Night 10pm-6am OPEN to either shift.PRIMARY POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.Under minimal supervision, plans, lays out, installs and repairs complex electrical equipment, includingautomatic and process controls, switchboards, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, andelectronic controls.Sets up secondary distribution centers, balances loads, wires or lays out the wiring of complex circuitswith a large number of connections.Replaces or repairs parts, detects and replaces defective control modules, tests and makes adjustments,runs conduit and pulls wires.Assists with mechanical equipment repair as required. Such as roll changes as neededUnderstanding of all relevant quality management system factors and documents Understanding of the Quality Policy, how the individual’s performance contributes to meeting of the Critical Success Factors and specific job category or position related procedures.POSITION REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:Five or more years of experience as a maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of National Electric CodeTwo years of course work in electronic/electrical technology resulting in a certification or degreePosition holder will have a high school diploma or equivalency.Ability to speak and comprehend the English language as determined through appropriate testing and/or the interview process.Able to read and comprehend and to legibly write the English language as determined through appropriate testing and/or the interview process.Mathematics and reasoning skills as determined through applicable aptitude and achievement tests.A position in areas, such as the maintenance department where specific skills such as electrical knowledge are required, will require documented evidence of competency in those skills.Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated spaces.Company DescriptionAmtec's Direct Hire Team provides specialized, in-depth expertise in sourcing and placing top talent.
