QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience handling electronic components
- Working knowledge of ESD handling and electronic component sensitivity requirements.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, work orders, and basic documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and traceability
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory control practices (FIFO, lot control, traceability).
JOB SUMMARY
The Electronic Material Handler II supports material flow within a controlled manufacturing environment, with primary responsibility for receiving, inspection support, inventory control, and production kitting. This role ensures material accuracy, traceability, and proper handling of sensitive electronic components while supporting production readiness.
This position is designed to develop cross-functional capability within the Materials team, with opportunities to expand into additional material operations over time.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming electronic components and verify quantities, part numbers, revisions, and documentation against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect materials and packaging for damage, contamination, or discrepancies; initiate reporting and escalation as required.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of materials in designated inventory locations.
- Maintain full lot traceability and documentation integrity for all electronic components.
- Execute kitting and staging of materials for production orders with high accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform material transactions and maintain accurate records within ERP/MRP systems.
- Maintain strict adherence to ESD handling procedures and environmental requirements for sensitive electronic parts.
- Support handling requirements for sensitive components, including moisture-sensitive devices (MSDs) where applicable.
- Apply FIFO and inventory control methodologies to ensure proper material rotation and usage.
- Move materials between receiving, stockroom, production, inspection, and shipping areas as required.
- Package and handle materials to prevent damage, electrostatic discharge, or environmental exposure.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Identify inventory discrepancies, shortages, or process gaps and communicate effectively for resolution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready stockroom environment.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Cross-train in additional Materials functions, including shipping and outbound logistics processes.
- Support packaging and shipment preparation activities as needed based on business demand.
