What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rework Technician (2nd shift) position at Amtec Contract?
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Soldering: Perform fine-pitch hand-soldering of surface-mount (SMT) and thru-hole components, often working under a microscope.
- Rework & Repair: Carry out advanced troubleshooting, component replacement, and rework on PCBAs to fix defects and restore functionality.
- Quality Inspection: Perform detailed visual inspections of PCBAs to identify and resolve defects like solder bridges, cold joints, misalignment, and other quality issues.
- Documentation: Follow step-by-step English work instructions, accurately read mechanical drawings/schematics, and maintain complete repair logs and production records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in SMT and thru-hole component assembly and soldering.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in advanced hand-soldering techniques, including hot-air tools, BGA rework, and BGA re-balling.
- Hands-on experience with PCB pad repair, trace repair, component replacement, and board modifications.
