What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Technician position at AMT Engineering?
- Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Traffic Technician to join our Traffic Engineering team in one of our Mid-Atlantic office locations. Location can be flexible for the right candidate
- Install and retrieve intrusive (rubber tubes) and non-intrusive (video cameras) traffic counting equipment
- Perform site visits to document conditions
- Perform manual vehicle-occupancy counts and parking surveys
- Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs as needed
- Must be willing to travel regionally within MD, WV, VA, and NC.
- Night Work may occasionally be required.
- 0-5 years’ experience, willing to train
- Must have clean driving record. Must pass background check
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. of equipment.
- Must be capable of performing outdoor work that requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold and other conditions.
- Required to run, stop, kneel, and crouch at job sites
- Computer / Microsoft Office savvy.
