Network Field Technician

Job Summary:

A Network Field Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure. This role involves providing hands-on field support, troubleshooting network-related issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Configuration: Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
• Installation and Maintenance: Install, support, and maintain new network hardware and software infrastructure.
• User Support: Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords; respond to technical support calls from end users.
• Monitoring and Security: Monitor network usage and security to ensure networks are running smoothly with maximum performance and availability.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems; replace faulty network hardware components as required.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.

Collaboration: Work with vendors or other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Experience: Proven experience in network engineering and troubleshooting.
• Skills: Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Additional Requirements:

Travel: Willingness to travel to different locations for network installations and troubleshooting.

Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
