This role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all gastroenterological (GI) procedures while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the center’s surgery schedule and processes. The position ensures all required patient documentation and information are obtained and communicated prior to surgery, serves as a key point of contact for patients, physicians, and ASC staff, and works closely with physician practices to manage and update the surgery schedule. Responsibilities include providing timely and accurate information, managing paperwork, facilitating effective telephone communication, delivering patient instructions, requesting medical records, and making appointment reminder calls. The role also includes collecting and processing patient payments, maintaining HIPAA compliance, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy, attending required education, and performing additional duties as assigned to support efficient center operations.
This role requires strong cognitive skills, including consistent mental alertness to support sound judgment and high-quality decision making.
