About Us
We are a quality-driven manufacturing facility committed to producing exceptional products in a safe, collaborative environment. We’re looking for a hands-on, CNC-savvy engineer who enjoys working on the shop floor, optimizing machining processes, writing CNC programs, and making real impact. If you thrive on solving manufacturing challenges, improving efficiency, and working with a tight team to build great products, this is the job for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement efficient production processes — including plant/ equipment layout, production flow, tooling, and equipment — with a focus on CNC machining.
- Write, test, and refine NC/CNC programs and machining methods; support both new and existing CNC manufacturing operations.
- Design and optimize fixtures, tooling, gauges, and work-holding for CNC and machining operations.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation: control plans, tooling drawings, in-process gauge drawings, welding standards, work instructions, SPC documents, production routings, and related process-control files.
- Support new manufacturing projects or expansions; collaborate with the design / engineering review team to ensure manufacturability and quality from design through production.
- Troubleshoot machining or production issues on the floor; provide hands-on support and continuous improvement to reduce scrap, lower cost, improve safety, and boost productivity.
- Train and mentor production staff on CNC setup, operation, safety, and best practices.
- Promote and uphold a safe and healthy work environment; follow and enforce safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
- ~ 3 years working in a manufacturing environment (ideally with strong emphasis on machining / CNC).
- Demonstrated mechanical and machine design skills — able to conceptualize and design tooling, fixtures, and work-holding.
- 2 years of NC/CNC programming and machining experience required; strong familiarity with machining processes.
- (Preferred) 3D CAD design skills (e.g. CREO), especially as applied to fixture/tooling design.
- Comfortable working on the plant floor — able to lift up to ~50 lbs, bend/squat as needed, and supervise or participate in hands-on setups and operations.
- Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and commitment to safety.
Why Work With Us
- Work directly on the manufacturing floor — not just designing in isolation — with real influence on how things are made.
- Broad scope: from CNC programming and tooling design to process documentation, project delivery, and team training — giving you variety and ownership.
- Opportunity to lead new manufacturing projects and grow your career as part of a stable, quality-oriented organization.
- A safety-first environment that values skilled, hands-on people who enjoy doing real work and seeing tangible results.
