What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at Amsted Rail Company?
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Run one or two NC/CNC machines.
- Change machine tools as necessary.
- Inspect parts to required tolerances and specifications per in-process inspection and/or engineering drawing and or visual requirements. Operator finishes parts to appropriate quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance to equipment.
- Accurately enter time and labor reporting daily.
- Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Perform minor assembly functions as required.
- Maintain acceptable levels of production.
- Report equipment and or material problems.
- Document any defects properly.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to stand for approximately 10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 85 lbs. approximately 5 - 10 times per hour.
