ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a full-time furnace operator to perform duties to efficiently and effectively load and unload a variety of furnaces. Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise. 1st shift works from Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Load and unload parts as required which includes operating multiple furnaces at one time in a fast-paced environment
- Inspect parts visually for foreign material and/or defects
- Adhere to work instructions and process cards as required per job
- Use various material moving equipment to process parts throughout the plant. e.g. manual and electric pallet jacks and pallet stackers
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand/walk for the entirety of the shift
- Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous sintering experience preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience 1 -2 years preferred
